About 7 hours crossing the border into Italy over high passes - one of the wildest days on the loop with exposed cols and big views when conditions are clear. Carry layers; snow patches can linger late into summer.

Tarvisio is a proper Italian town with coffee, pasta, and transport links. A satisfying stop before the final leg back to Kranjska Gora.
